Initially given a broad 2022 launch window, Forspoken's release date was initially slated for May 24, 2022. We should learn more about how exactly it plays over the coming months. It's currently unclear how big a part combat or magic plays in the game, but the title is listed as an action-RPG. Previous footage also shows her using magic powers, conjuring vines to subdue a wolf-like opponent.
In the game's newest trailer, it's also revealed that she has some form of a companion with a male-sounding voice. The protagonist is played by Ella Balinska (Charlie's Angels), who described the character as "real, she’s raw, she’s a girl who lost her way-both figuratively and literally-and is a character I immediately connected with." Forspoken will arrive on PlayStation 5 and PC on May 24, 2022.Forspoken is a "narrative-driven adventure" that follows Frey Holland, which the publisher describes as "an ordinary young woman who must harness her magical abilities to survive in a fantastical and dangerous land called Athia."
